Brett Favre to return to NFL in 2011?? Say it aint so!
There’s been some talk of Brett Favre showing some interest in returning to play 2011. At first it took me by surprise, but after the initial shock wore off, it really wasn’t all that surprising.
He’s the Ricky Henderson of Football, if he could he would play until he physically couldn’t anymore.
The current speculation is that he would want to come back, but it’ll be hard to find a team who wants him. I just don’t think I could sit through another season of will or won’t Brett play this year.
Never say never! Besides, he’s better than anyone Miami has right now!

I saw this yesterday, but I wasn’t sure if it was true. I understand where he is coming from. For professionals, especially aging professionals, it’s hard to move on for a number of reasons. First, you have to admit that you’re no longer capable of performing at an acceptable level. Second, you have to face a fear we all have; you’re getting closer go the grave! Finally, you have to find something else to do everyday.
And, as if that’s not enough to worry about, we’re talking about Brett Favre here… He not only has to deal with the usual burdens of retirement, but also has to walk away from icon status, which he has enjoyed for nearly 25 years.
Do I think he should come back? No. But I understand his flip-flopping

At this point it’s almost as if he just loves the drama and attention, and pretends not to.
